Are we just cynical buggers, but what the **** is the score with dance remixes of indie tracks. Nine times out of ten they’re just painfully middling. This Graham Sutton ‘rehash’ of Brakes’ fan-fookin-tastic ‘All Night Disco Party’ is no exception. True, the beats are beefed up a bit, there’s some additional acid noise thrown in mid-way through but other than that it’s just the same tune – surely any lame brain with a laptop could do it?! Quite how the over-zealous PR people can claim it’s exhilarating we’ll never know. Fair play to Kahuna’s spliced up and Herbert's bizarre (complete with chipmunk-esque vocals) versions on the flip side, which although far from great at least try to do something different.
